Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Unwillful taking!
In March of 2001 I cashed a paycheck that was mistaking $1137.00 more then what I was suppose to get. Now that they found out what they did which was pay me for 240 instead of 24 they want the money back. This is a big business which can more on with out the money. I did relize that it was unwillful taking and would like to repay it but being only 17 and being fired because of the matter it will be so hard to repay them. I told them that I relized that it was wrong and then I signed a paper saying I would pay back $100 each week for 10 weeks but I don't know how I am going to do it. If I tell them I can't pay it what could they do?

Cashing the paycheck for 10 times what you earned...and you call it "unwillful?". Now you try to minimize your actions by saying the company is large and could afford it.I'd hide the silverware if you were within a block of my home. Be a man and pay it back. JMC
