Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Does u.s.c. 14.141 authorize or grant the coast guard the power to extend the jurisdiction of local law enforcement to areas they would not normally have it.

Jurisdiction, especially in open waters, is EXTREMELY complicated. Generally jurisdiction is limited to certain areas, but there are always exceptions. Furthermore, the coast guard has jurisdiction worldwide if the flagged nation vessel gives permission to search which they often allow.
