Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Verbal abuse
Is there a law that protects the elderly from verbal abuse? This lady is 88 years old and her neighbor has been viciously verbly abusive and this past week took a slugge hammer to the property. The lady is afraid to go to the mail box or just step in her yard where she has been living for the past 60 years. The police has been called and nothing much has happened. This is a 3 to 4 year on going. Is there any legal that can protect her from her neighbor or is there law? We need help. It is a shame that the neighbor harrash the elderly as such. It is beleived that she is a felon and maybe still on probation. We tried to find records from Georgia and Florida but to no avail. Can you advised?
Thank you
