Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Violation of Community Control

My boyfriend has been charged with a violation of community control. On Christmas day he left home to go work, he was not scheduled out for this time but he tried to call the emergency number to inform them he was going to work but he got no answer. Because it was Christmas he figured they were closed so he left. He has done everything else that they requested of him. What do you think will happen when he gets to court?

Re: Violation of Community Control

As in any question in law the answer typically is "it depends". In your case it depends on how nice your probation officer is and whether he/she believes your story. Meaning, if indeed the officer was not available when you called. In addition, whether your boyfriend has done this before, how much time he left on cc, and what is his track record and crime(s). Typically a good defense attorney can mitigate the damage and get your boyfriend back into cc, but there is no guarantee..... GOOD LUCK
