Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Violation of probation

Is a violation of probation for felony forging bank bills an extraditable offense. My son in law left the state and refuses to come back. Can he be forced to come back if his location is known? I have his address in Colorado and want to turn him in if it means he will come back here and face his charges. I also have additional information that would constitute additional charges for stealing a prescription pad and writing prescriptions for pain killers.

Re: Violation of probation

It is left to the state attorney's office to decide if they want to extradite or not. My experience is that they probably will. I was a prosecutor for quite awhile and actually reviewed and approved these types of things. My advice to him would be to get back here and turn himself in. If he gets arrested out there the process getting back here is miserable for him. He stands a better chance of getting a bond if he shows up here in Florida.

What county is this?
