Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Is it a violation of my rights if a cop runs a license plate for a random reason?
Also, if that's legal. Say the owners had so reason for a stop but I'm legal driver. Is it a violation for stoping me if I'm the only person on the car?

In general, yes they can run plates all day long at random. Now the second part of your question, if the officer had NO reason to pull you over, then the stop would be illegal and any evidence found should be suppressed. This can get complicated, so I suggest you get an attorney if this has happened to you.
