Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Waiting for defandant to be transported.
If a judge gave the defendant a court order to be transported from Miami-Dade county to West Palm Beach county, how long does the defendant have to wait? Is there a maximum of how long he can be detained if they never pick him up? How does that work? Thank you for your time.

Re: Waiting for defandant to be transported.
A judge usually sets a court date in a transport order. If you are talking about a "hold", he will get transported when hes done in Dade. Speedy trial clock applies, but rarely runs out.
