Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I have a warrant in Florida and I'm currently in AZ. Is there anyway I can take care of the warrant in Arizona? Can I get a license? Will my income tax refund be effected? I was unaware of the warrant until recently. I have a child so I'm unable to travel back to FL. It's been two years since the case started. Would I be able to write the Judge?

The charges were Lewdness/Prostitution, VOP, Failure to appear. It's all misdeamenors.

You need to talk to an attorney before you do anything. Contacting anyone else could seriously affect your rights. There may be statute of limitations argument for example, but only an attorney would be able to advise you to be sure. Since these are misdemeanors, you may be able to do everything by mail. I suggest you contact an attorney in or near the county where the charge is located and they can help you out.

Because these are all misdemeanors you may be able to enter a plea in absentia, which means a plea by mail, without having to come back down to Florida. However, if you want to fight the charges and go to trial, you will likely have to return to Florida. I'd be happy to discuss your case with you further, please feel free to call my office.
