warrants never go away right? but what about the charges do they stay forever or do they go away with a certain amount of time?

The charges never go away until they are resolved by a plea, motion to dismiss, or trial. After that, IF you are eligible, you may be able to get the charge sealed (but that's a wholly different discussion).
