Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
If a web developer, by action or inaction, causes a client's website to fail does this constitute a criminal act. And if so, is the jurisdiction federal if the developer & client are in different states (countries)?

As far as Florida law goes, this alone would not likely be a criminal act unless there was some fraud involved. Generally criminal acts can be prosecuted under the laws of either state but not both. The Feds have jurisdiction over pretty much everything, though they usually only stick with serious offenses.
