PTD or PTI will not show up on a background check. However, an arrest can show up on background checks. You may be entitled to have your record expunged if you meet the statutory criteria.
if you have been formally charged by way of information, then the State will file a "Nolle prosequi" or dismissal of charges. If no information was filed then the State will file a "No Information." In either event, you are first required to satisfy the PTD or PTI conditions before the State will drop charges.
