Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Withheld judification
I took plea bargain from the state of florida to except two charges of battery on LEO, and Resist arrest with violence and 3 yrs. probation. But my attorney said that the state attorney would withhold judification. I need to know exactly what that means? My attorney said that I'm not a convicted felon? what exactly does this mean for my future? can I stil own a gun after probation, can I travel with my wife outside the US? What exactly will this do to my life and can I get this exsponged or reduced to a misdemeanor?
Thanks for all of your help..

Re: Withheld judification
It means you are technically not a convicted felon. So you can still vote, own a gun, deny the convictions on a job application, travel (which you could do even if you were a convicted felon), etc.
You also may be able to have your record sealed.
