Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Withholding evidence as blackmail

What is the punishment for someone withholding evidence from the police in a criminal case? I was blackmailed for cash, but have not payed yet. It was a break in and they originally told the police they did not know who it was with the intent of blackmailing me. If I recorded our conversations on the phone and I have a picture of a detectives card they sent me, am I in a position to tell them if they go to the police I will make sure they will be charged with withholding evidence, filing a false police report and blackmail?
