Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
I used to work for a car dealership. I was named salesman of the month and was told by my supervisor that I could drive a demo back and forth to work for that month. He did not get approval from his superior and I was arrested for grand theft auto. My supervisor wrote an affidavit to the DAs office stating it was a misunderstanding. I moved back to North Carolina and was stopped for a moving violation and was told I have a warrant in Tallahassee. This happened over 7 years ago, how can I clear this up?

You need to hire an attorney as soon as possible. It seems to me that the statute of limitations may have run, and the case should be dismissed. Also, witnesses may no longer be available. If your boss gave you permission to drive the car, and you reasonably believed he had the authority to do so, then it doesn't appear to me as if you have committed any crime.
