Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Wrong charge?

I was just arrested early Friday morning for a DUI. I have never been in trouble before. Never arrested or charged for anything in my life. I was bonded out of jail that evening by my mother. The next day, I looked at my charge sheet and it said my charge was ''DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 2ND OFF''. I am wondering if they had charged me with the wrong charge because like I said I have never been in trouble before. How would it be a 2nd offense if I have never had a 1st offense? If they had charged me wrong, what does that mean for me? Do they just correct it in their system? Or will my charge be dropped? What happens?

Re: Wrong charge?

Someone may have used your ID in the past or perhaps they just made a mistake. In what county were you arrested?
