Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
if I wrote a check that i had stopped payment on and also had void written across the front and was never dishonored by the bank, can it still be considered a worthless check?

Generally, the answer would probably be no based upon the writing of "void" on the check. The fact that the payment was stopped would not be a mitigating factor. But I am curious, how or why was the check deposited if it had "void" written on it? The person who tried to deposit the voided check might be guilty of an offense.
