Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida
Just yesterday my home was burglerized by 2 kids. Ages 14 and 15. They were arrested and recovered some of my stuff. But they left my house in shambles. They broke out a window and cut up the screen to my screened in patio. They also stole $200, which was never recovered. I was curious if I can sue the parents for the damages done to my home and possibly the money. It was part of my rent money. Thank you.

Yes, but you can also get it through restitution. Just make sure you show all receipts and you should have place professionally cleaned so that you can submit that as a receipt as well. Of course, if you sue, you may eligible to receive additional damages that restitution may not cover but you should talk to a civil attorney about that.
