Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Florida

Customer discrimination

I emailed the owner of a local sports bar I frequented daily for 7+ years to inform him of an egregious incident I and a friend witnessed. We watched servers picking food off plates at the prep station and assumed it was their lunches but were horrified to see them place the same plates on trays and serve them to tables! Moreover, many of the staff, according to the Asst. Mgr. that day were fighting colds! After the owner got my email he called and we spoke briefly. In the email I did NOT hold any person to blame and specifically told him the Mgr was not present nor did I mention it to the Asst. Mgr. and that he should not hold either accountable...but mention it in the next meeting. He was appreciative and said he did not want to lose me as a customer. I was told he ripped the staff a ''new one'' and changed the rules of how & when they can eat. I stopped in weeks later and immediately experienced the negative backlash. Long-time friends no longer spoke to me, the staff did not acknowledge me. My buddy had to order for me. It has been over a year and last night I was accused of causing a problem and banned. I wasn't. Witnesses and friends defended me to the Mgr. but she was nasty. Do I have any legal recourse here? Discrimination?

Re: Customer discrimination

So, now you want to sue your friend, the owner? You might e-mail him again. He is the one that can ban you or not from the establishment. I would not recomend a law suit. You do not have much (if anything) in the way of damages. If you are not welcome there, find another bar. There are plenty.
