Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Florida
Laid off for budget cuts
I work for a catholic school and enrollment is low so they cut my position. All my yearly evaluations have been excellent and good even this year's. After 20 years of teaching, my boss laid me off, but he let others with higher salaries stay. He claims that they scored higher in their evaluations, but there are other teachers that started after me that have worst evaluations. He is contradicting himself against all my past excellent evaluations. There are other people that earn the same amount that I do, but are friends and they are still working. Is he allowed to do this?
