Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Florida
Hi, I was at Mcdonalds and received terrible service by the cashier. After ordering, I asked her if there was any more powerade left, she said no while giving me attitude. Then i asked for a cup of water and she refused to give me water, and murmured some sort of racial remark under her breath. I was angry by those actions and so on the way out I tossed by drink over the counter. Then suddenly three Mcdonalds security officers came up to me and attacked me. They sprayed me with pepper spray and knocked me down to the cement ground, in which I hit the back of head quite hard and now I have a huge lump. I was just wondering if I can sue Mcdonalds for what happened. I do not think I deserved such treatment.
1 Answer from Attorneys
You could have a claim against the restaurant under the Florida Civil Rights Act, for battery, etc. You should speak with an attorney to give further details on this matter. Feel free to call my office if you wish to discuss it.
