1 Answer from Attorneys
The answers to your questions depend a lot on the context. You are required by law to give a statement to the police in an accident investigation. In exchange for that requirement, Florida has an accident report privilege which basically means that they can't use those statements in court. They could potentially use those statements to form probable cause but it could be restricted from a jury hearing your answers. So your answers are "binding" in that if you decide to give a different response than originally given, then you coudl be facing false police report charges. Obviously, you need to talk to an attorney so that the attorney can discuss the context with you and see the best way to proceed.
