I was convicted of a 3rd DUI with a FL license back in 2006. The 2nd and 3rd were just within the span of 10 yrs, so the FL DMV revoked my license for 10 yrs. I was eligible for a work permit (or hardship license) in 2008. I went to a hearing on the matter and was approved to go into the supervision program for the license. However, before entering the program, I had to move to Atlanta for work. I was planning to get a hardship in Atlanta, but the GA DMV said they don't accept hardship transfers. They said the only thing I could do would be to get a letter of release from FL. I went back to FL and explained it to them, but they wouldn't give a release letter because I was under a 10 year revocation. Is there anything I can do about this situation? Should I consider hiring a lawyer in FL?

Not sure if you need to hire a lawyer, but a minimum you should talk to a Florida attorney as they may be able to help you. When dealing with multi state DMV issues it can get very complicated so contacting an attorney in both states would be helpful.
