My drivers license were revoke in Illinois 17 years ago after recieving 2 DUI's shortly after my 21st birthday. I was eligible for reinstatment in 2004 however, due to the short proximity to my home and work I never attempted to get my license. Now I have recently moved to Florida and I need my license for work and I am looking into going back to college. Can I go through the reinstatement process from Florida or do I have to travel back to Illinois to take care of this? Can I simply pay a fee or do I need to fill out paperwork and a fee and a hearing? Can I simply take care of this at the Florida DMV? Do I have to participate in the SR-22 program or is that just in Illinois?

You don't have to travel back to Illinois, but you can't go through Florida to resolve this. You must contact Illinois to resolve your license issues there before Florida will allow you to get a license here.
