Are there any laws or statutes associated with protecting the privacy of a mugshot? Can any website just post your mugshot on their site? My attorney wants to write each website a letter, but he does not think there are any laws allowing them to no to so. I beg to differ.

Your lawyer is correct. In Florida, it is public record and therefore accessible to anybody in the public. Same as a lot of public records that you would think aren't accessible. For example, police reports, legislative private meetings, ALL court documents (except juvenile cases) filed, etc.
