I was leaving the bowling alley around 12am. Still in the bowling parking lot I started to drive and had not yet turned on my lights. It was wet outside so when I drove forward my tired skid a little as I passed the officer in the parking lot and he pulled me over. His reasoning was because my lights weren't on. I am on a hardship lisence due to a dui so this means according to the police officer that my lisence will be suspended. Although I know I shouldn't have been driving, I feel this was not motives to pull over it was a simple slip of the tires and I would have realized I didn't have my lights on before I left the parking lot. Is there anyway I can fight this?. I am in school and I work. I am trying to better my life a suspended licence will make this very hard.

This is a close call, so you should talk to an attorney in person about if or how you should fight it. In short, if you turned your lights on before entering the road, you may have a good shot. After that point, it is questionable and thus the need to meet with an attorney.
