Re: Liability of serving free alcohol at a Company Party
In Florida there is no DRAM SHOP ACT. What that means is that you would not be liable for serving drinks to a party goer who goes too far. However, liability could attach IF you were to serve too many drinks to a person who you KNOW has an alcohol problem, and you were to contine to serve him beyond the point that it is apparent he is smashed, then you allow him to drive away from you party. Generally, liability will not attach to a typical social drinking situation that results in an accident ect.
