I received a DUI 16 years ago in another state and recently received one where I currently live. Will the current DUI be considered my second offense? And should I tell my attorney about the one I received 16 years ago?

Under the law you faces enhanced penalties for haveing a second DUI within 5 years. Yes, always tell your attorney everything. You are doing yourself a disservice by keeping secrets about something that may have to do with your case.

Yes, and what do you think. Not providing all information to your attorney is like sending a boxer into the ring with his hands tied behind his back - I'm sure he would be very effective in the fight. Of course you should tell your attorney.
