I have recently been arrested for DUI. I was heavily intoxicated (most likely above .15) and I am extremely nervous for my court date in three weeks. I have no other criminal history and have only had two traffic citations before this. I seldom consume alcohol in the first place and I told this to the arresting officer every time he asked during my arrest/booking. I am very nervous about potential jail time and license suspension. A driver license revocation will be a serious hardship for my employment and my enrollment at a local university. What am I likely to be sentenced to? I am comfortable with community service, alcohol education classes and fines, but jail time and/or license revocation will completely destroy my life. Any advice?

You need to speak with a local criminal defense attorney and relay to him/her your goals and concerns about your case. We cannot fully answer your question as you presented it as we would need to know the specific facts of what occured as well as who is the judge and state attorney.
Good luck,
