My Rights

I was stopped in a road block byMADD I had been to a party over a period of 6 hours I had 2 drinks, when the officer asked me if I had had a drink I said yes 2 so he pulled me over I had to do several different testa and the one where I had to stand one one for and count I had a hard time doing. I weigh 218 and had high heels on I am 63 and have a problem with ly left ankle which I had a cast on for 2/1/2 months and now wear an ace bandage all the time. I was handcuffed and taken to jail where I spent the night. I have never gone thru anything like this ever. I work, live by my self. Is there anyway hat I can have the dui reduced to something not so severe? I know I can get a restircted license. The officer told me that I looked fine and if I had said that I didnot have anything to drink he would have let me go. In other words it doesn't pay to tell the truth, right from his mouth. I am so embarrassed, I only have a drink occassionally and am always very carefeul because I do livealone and support myself. Thank you for any help. I have a court date for Feb 6

There is no charge, of course for this call to me. You need to talk with an attorney immediately. It is always important to contact an attorney within 10 days of your arrest for DUI, since your license is usually suspended at the time of arrest, and you have only 10 days to contest the suspension. This suspension is in addition to any suspension and other penalties which may arise from the actual conviction.
