I was sentenced to a jail term of 4 months for a DUI on a first offence. I had 3 weeks to get in a treatment program and to get my ailing miother taken care of . I am appealing the case and want to know if I have to report to jail while the appeal is still going on. I do not have a lawyer and am trying to get legal aid.

You may request a bond from the judge while the appeal process is ongoing, if the bond is denied, you will have to report to jail.
