I'm wondering about the statute of limitations for A DUI in Lakeland, Fl. I have gotten notice to appear papers, but my lawyer has been going to court on my behalf. Does this mean that the charges have already commenced, or is it still possible for the statute of limitations to remain in motion.

The statute of limitations does not apply in your case. Charges have been commenced and your lawyer is handling this. You need to talk to your lawyer on this as another attorney can not advise you on how to proceed, since you are presently represented.
