Legal Question in Education Law in Florida
School Liability
I was presented with a contract for a company offering a safe online network for kids stating that the role of the school was to verify a student's registration and the responsibility for keeping the student safe while in the network was that of the company. Is my school/district liable for any lawsuit if we are only part of the registration process? Registration is not mandatory but optional and the parents are aware by signing the contract as well.

Re: School Liability
Your question is not particularly clear. I would really need to see the contract, but it is unlikely that the contract with a third party would possihbly impose additional liability on the school district.
