Legal Question in Education Law in Florida
School tuition
My son was enrolled in a private high school but 2 weeks before school started I informed the school he would be transferring out and will not attend this year. They require that parents start making payments 2 months before school starts, which I've already paid. Are they legally allowed to keep the money I have paid into the tuition?
Thank you.

Re: School tuition
Probably -- look at the agreement that you signed. By waiting so late to go somewhere else, you deprived the school of admitting someone else in a timely fashion. Because of this, the contracts usually require the parents to keep paying. Check your agreement. Contact the school and ask for some relief.
