Legal Guardianship
What steps does my mother-in-law need to take to be appointed legal guardian for her mother whose dementia has progressed to the point where she rejects family in favor of a much younger cleaning lady who appears to be taking advantage of her?

Re: Legal Guardianship
The process would requre a lawyer. There is a very detailed statute that deals with this issue and protects the rights of the person you want to make a ward. Contact an attorney for the process.
