Life Estate
My mother has passed away. she had a life estate with myself listed as remainder interest. Do I have to notify the property appraiser office or will they find out when the state of Florida issues a death certificate.

Re: Life Estate
you will need to notify the appraiser's office, and apply for homestead if you are using it as such

You will also need to record a certified copy of the death certificate (without cause of death) with the recording office in the county.
