Medicaid Rules
My Step Mother is worried that if my father requires Nurseing Home care, his cost will consume all of their assets, and she will have limited choices for her future care. Is this really the truth?

To some degree. Medicaid will not tap into the marital home is a spouse remain in it (at least until that spouse dies or needs to apply to Medicaid benefits.) And the spouse at home can keep a certain amount of savings as well.
