medications for parent
my mother was just released from a hospital in fla. with written scrips. nurse wanted to let my brother know what she had, how to take them and when (as he was picking her up). brother declined because he feels he would be legally responsible if my mother took her meds incorrectly or OD'd because he was also notified by hospital nurse. he does not want to be held accountable by knowing what she has to take and when and so she is on her own. Is this true that he would be held accountable of such?

Re: medications for parent
Nice brother; nice son. He is worried about whether he could be liable rather than learning how to help his mother receive the medications she needs to live? Schesh, we should all have such sons and daughters.
No -- he is not liable for knowing what medications his mother should and needs to take.
If this actually represents how your brother feels then your mother is probably better off without him.
