My mother-in-law has been living with us for the past 4 months and will be for several months to come. She is 92 and receives 950.00 per month from social security. Are we, (her daughter and I her son-in-law), allowed to charge her room and board on a monthley basis while she lives here? If so is there a set amount allowed. My wife is the payee of her SS check.

If she were living anywhere else she would have to pay room and board. So yes, she could charge her.
