My niece is verbally abusing 80 year old mother, my sister. she gets right in her face and yells & screams that she hates her & wishes she were dead. it has not gotten physical as far as i know because i do not live with them. but she is very scary, i know because she screamed at me the same way when i tried to stop her. is there some kind of document i could get to let her know there are consequences if she continues this abuse? i'm afraid she could get violent the longer this continues. her speech now actually sounds violent.

Your description of your niece's behavior depicts elder abuse which does not
have to be physical. You may want to inform FL Dept of Children and Families of
such continuing conduct. An 80 year old should not be subjected to such abuse.
Please call the Elder Abuse Hotline and report this. This is abuse!
