Sale/gift of house
My mother wants to give or sell me her home-can this be done legally ? She will be going into a retirement home..She has left me her home in her trust but wnts to do this now while she's still alive. Will a quit-claim deed do it?

A properly executed deed will transfer the interest in property from one party to another. This should be done by an attorney so that you can consider other consequences, such as taxes and medicaid eligibility. You also want to make sure that the deed is properly prepared and filed.
