My sister may be abusing fathers trust fund
My sister has had Power of Atty over my Dad for several years. During that time over $200,000 is missing from sale of his house as well as many belongings. She just bought a $600,000 home using ''$300,000 of his money $150,000 her money, and $150,000 mortgage. None of this makes sense since she did not work for over a year and then only worked parttime the next year and a half. During that time she complained she did not even have money to buy food.
Now that she has the home she won't let me visit my Dad at the home stating he must come to the hotel where I'll be staying. My Dad is very frail and stays in bed 90% of day, he also has dementia and sometimes doesn't know who I am. She is mad at me because I was against buying this house without more info which I never got. She doesn't want me to ask the Doctor if it is okay for Dad to leave his comfort zone to see me. I don't want to harm Dad in any way.
He told me that I would inherit $200,000 back when he was sane. My sister told me it was around $100,000 before she bought the house and now says it is $50,000.
I think she is blowing Dad's money and may be neglecting him as well. Can you help?
