Transferring CD's to my name
My mother would like to transfer her
CD's to my name. If she has to go
into an adult facility, how long do
the CD's have to be in my name so
that this money doesn't have to go
for payment to the facility?
I heard it was 5 years and my
accountant says it's 3 years?
Thanks you.

Check with the medicare and medicaid people, they will be able to tell you. I am pretty sure that the information is also on their web sites.
