Is it legal to rent a movie andplay it in a bar or club
Can a military rent a movie from someone like block busters and play it for the members, or is that a copie right infringment.

It really depends on how many people are at the bar (close friends, vs. open to public), whether this is a one time thing, whether you are profiting from showing it etc. If the bar is larger, amongst other factors, you would probably need a license to use the movie(s), as with music played there.

It is if you are getting paid to show the film. There may also be limits on how many people can watch at the same time. But if you are in Iraq, then I don't think the copyright owners are going to risk the bad publicity by suing you over it.
