Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Florida
Music Copyright
I am making a picture montage for a relative and one for a friend and would like to know if I can use a music CD that I have purchased as background music for the montage. I am not charging anything for this project and I am not in business to do so. Thank You

Re: Music Copyright
Then you probably won't be pursued, as long as you don't do this for profit.

Re: Music Copyright
Though you may get away with it, you may not legally use someone else's copyrighted music as a background for your creation without licensing the music. The fact that you are not charging for the montage is irrelevant.
