Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Florida
Publishing
Hello,
My name is--name removed--and I have a friend lets say thats signed to a major record lable for a production and publishing deal and I have many people asking me to compose musical beats and I would like to do work for hire and take a lump payment without option for royalties so as not to breach my other standing contract. Would this be a logical choice or can you suggest another?

Depends on what your other outstanding contract says about working for others.

Mr. Stewart is correct. We don't know enough to advise you, and this site is not intended for this level of advice. You need to consult with an attorney and spend the time it will take to address your facts.
