To advise in such situations, it is necessary to be informed of all details including any visitation agreements, ages of children, specific attitude of children relating to stress or trauma in such visitation, and the purpose, frequency, and duration of such visits, etc. For example, if the daughters are teenagers, it is likely that their rights and preferences should be considered in such decisions. All factors should be weighed in providing such legal advice. Generally, a court will decide such matters on the best interests of the children after weighing the various factors.
