Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

$2000 Dental bills recieved one year later

Is it allowed for a custodial parent to sit on a 2000 dollar dental bill have the time to pay it off and then one year later bill me for the 65% that i owe or is there some sort of time limit on how long she has to notify me that she is paying on the bill so i can have a chance to make monthly payments like her?

You need to read your current court orders to determine what percentage of medical expenses you are responsible for. Usually it's 50% but not always.

You can always pay the doctor directly if the bill is still outstanding. You can also ask for proof that the outstanding medical bill has been paid.

You probably need to talk to an attorney about this matter. You don't provide enough information in order to really answer it.

I assume that the court order states that she was to give you notice of the bill within 10-30 days of it being incurred.

If you don't have $2,000 then -- of course, you are going to have to make payments.
