Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Hello, I am almost 17 and i am a female. Both of my parents are deceased and my 2 siblings are adults now. I am currently living with my friend, and her mom is my "guardian". We never went to court or anything, i just printed out a temporary guardianship paper. I just found out that my guardian has been recieving social security for me for over a year now, even though she had been saying she wasnt getting anything. I feel completely lied to. Now I've decided to move out and live with my sister. I want to emancipate my self or make my sister my guardian. My social security check is $800 i think, and i make $600 a month at my job. What are my options? my guardian is being very difficult, she is saying that she will call the cops on me if i try to leave.

Have your adult sister petition the court in the guardianship proceedings to become your guardian and contact Social Security to have the funds redirected to your sister upon the change.

alternatively, you can petition the court to become emancipated, but that is likely to terminate your social security benefits.
