Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

in 2009 my former husband filed for our divorce. now i am reopening the case and filing a motion in regards to our daughter. am i petitoner now? i was told i am still the respondent. however while looking through some of the paperwork that needs to be filed as i am doing it myself, asks for the signature of the petitoner, which would be him. but i am filling out the paperwork.
