Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I have a 6 year old child, his father and I (never married) are no longer together, he is court ordered to pay child support, which he is very behind on had now moved out of his moms house and has a new girlfriend, he now wants our son every other weekend. we dont have any custody arrangements through court yet. he has a history of drug charges from last year, he had put my son in that enviroment before with bad jusgement, on the weekends that he wants him he says he has to work at night, when i ask himi who will watch our son when he goes to work, he really doesnt know, he says maybe his new girlfriend or another friend.i dont agree at all. i dont trust his jusgement based on past incidents, what are my rights to say that when he does go there, i dont want him staying with anyone but his mom or he needs to come back home when he goes to work? please help

Denying him visitation is a bad idea, and it should never be done without consulting with a family law attorney. Withholding visitation could cost you custody. But, in your case, you may have no choice but to withhold visitation, so you need to get before a judge very quickly. You should speak with a family law attorney immediately and ask the lawyer to file a Petition to Determine Timeshare (custody and visitation) where you are asking that his visitation be supervised.
